Fixing fast_closest_pair in alg_project3_solution.py
OpenCode session transcript. A Coursera autograder (OwlTest) gave this submission 81.7/100 at the start of the session and 100.0/100 by the end.
Getting there took 37 scripted submissions back to the real autograder, a script that replays the Coursera login handshake with the user's own session cookies, probe files padded with counters to work out what the server was calling, a monkeypatched alg_cluster, and one confident writeup titled "100/100 is not obtainable on this OwlTest instance" that the very next experiments disproved. The final 7 points turned out to live in the grader, not the code: it deepcopys every cluster and re-sorts the list by x before each call, so the fix was to precompute the answers and serve them in O(1).
